Story: A private citizen found Otus in her yard and hand raised him in a parakeet cage. When she realized that he was not eating, she called us to pick him up. Otus was sick because she had been feeding him the wrong food (hot dogs, bologna, etc....). He was named Hooter and imprinted when we received him. The lady wanted him back for a pet and was reluctant to turn him over to us. He spent three years as an education bird at Holy Rosary High School and then was returned to us to be used in our education program.
