I just saw your booth at the state fair, and as always you have a great display. I applaud all that you do to help our fine feathered friends. There should be more organizations like yours to help not just birds, but all our animal friends. Great job, and God bless!

Wonderful web site!! How sad to read some of the histories of the birds and realize that the majority of them are in permanent care due to human ignorance, but how exciting to know that help is given to so many birds through human and humane treatments. Congratulations on having provided such wonderful care to so many!!

My brother and I rescued an adult GHO this year during deer season down near Paducah and I just learned it's been moved to Louisville. I hope to see the bird again during rehab and certainly hope it can be released. As a nature lover and outdoorsman, I'm really proud there's a program like RROKI to take care of these wonderful birds.

Is it possible to own an owl? Not as a pet in a sense, but rather to own it as your own, with good conditions and a natural habitat?

Your site is great. Love the idea of adopting a raptor, though I went there hoping you needed caretakers as that is my passion to work with raptors. I fed 22+ Bald Eagles and excersized them weekly along with a great crew at the Bird TLC in Alaska and the experience is awesome. Any of you out there who get a chance to volunteer will think it a privilidge as I did to be in the presence of such mighty creatures of prey. Keep up the good work. Hope to visit soon.

This is a great site. I teach high school marine biology and AP biology, and I continually express to my students the importance of protecting all wildlife. We have the Alabama Wildlife Rehabilitation Center here in Birmingham and they also work with injured raptors. Again, this is a great site and I will visit often. Keep up the great work you do.

I am working on my second degree, this one in Elementary Education. We have to do a booktalk on an informational book and I choose one on eagles. My husband and I were blessed to visit your center a few years ago and to visit Alaska to see the eagles in flight. I plan to teach in Kentucky, so I was searching the internet to find information about raptors in Kentucky. Thanks for your web site!

It was neat to be able to look up Screech Owls, and find that there is a haven to preserve birds in need. I am a 8yr old girl in 3rd grade who is doing a whole unit on birds of all kinds. I have to color a Sceech Owl for my bird book and needed to know just what a Screech Owl looked like. I printed off info from your site so I can bring it into my class. My teacher loves birds and I'm sure she will think this is an interesting site, doing a great cause.

Hi, I am just surfing the internet and thought I would go to my favoritre subject-Raptors. I found this site and it is another place I would like to visit. Have any Bald Eagles? They are my true passion in birds. Being in Alton,Il. They come to winter here. We are located by one of the locks on the Mississippi. I believe this year I will start my own Bald Eagle count. I believe my greatest ambition is to find a job that would include working with the Eagles. I hope to visit soon. As soon as I can get away from Ralston Purina (work).

I haven't visited your facility, but I have volunteered at The Raptor Trust in Millington NJ (near Basking Ridge and Bernardsville NJ) Raptor Rehabs are great places to volunteer. My job recently involved a transfer, I miss The Raptor Trust volunteer work very much. Anyone living in north central NJ area should stop in at The Raptor Trust. They take in any and all orphaned and injured birds. They could use your help in feeding and taking care of hundreds ofbaby birds this season. Its a great feeling taking part in helping these birds knowing that they will be released back into the wild. The Raptor Trust also has avaries outside for the resident birds that are unable to be released to the wild. Visitors are welcome to visit.

To all the rehab facilities, keep up the good work! Your are appreciated!
